Had I known the lengths

To which you had been driven

Even sitting next to you

Travelling on the same bus!

 

Had I known the extremes

To which your spirit had to fly

I would have certainly changed the course

Or played another tune

Blindfolded  and inward looking

As I was.

 

I didn’t know that you were walking

With bare feet in my sould.
