Still A Rat.
You have become too much of a pedagogue
Or worn the skirt of and executive
You have become a mechanism in the works
Of the State
And your glasses wear a smile.
This is what they told you
To find a place in the procession
And to do as all the other do
To perform to the ends of time
Because of customs which rules the day
And what you see the others doing
Must be the right thing to do
Never mind the pangs of conscience
Or the signs of a revolt
Or the urges of your passion
You are told just to comply
So as not to rock the balance
Be responsible, be respected
Be accepted like a rat.
