At
The Sight Of A Mirage.
Why veer away to where there’s nothing
Why fly way from all that is present
They try to confuse you by endless panegyrics
They scare you stiff by a pandemic
So that while fastening your seatbelt
You have to put on also a mask
So that you are properly grounded
And with your feet well anchored.
Why don’t you consider then
The clarity of here and now
The very ground on which you stand.
Let the puppets regret their days of
glory
And the inertia of the merry go round.
Don’t let the currents overtake you
Don’t let the herd push you around
There is a stillness in the voice
That is coming from afar.
Even without those timely gatherings
Or the thrust of a telluric force
You can still emerge victorious
At the sight of a mirage.
