You And I.

You and I would have exhausted

All the energies that bounced us

Towards each other

And created the magnetic field

That kept us together

For those brief moments

That reflected through our eyes

And then made us curse

That we accepted each other’s dream

Or thought that somehow the sea

Could embrace each and every bolder.

You and I would have discovered

All the secrets in the box

But once the air was clear

The tide drove us back to where

We were before

And we were left with nothing else

Except our emptiness

And our pains.
